Syed Wahajuddin Ahmed has worked in senior positions in Finance and Accounting with government and large corporate commercial and industrial organizations. His community activism is reflected through his association with numerous community organizations. He is a Director of West Ridge Chamber of Commerce, President of Chicago Science & Math Academy ( a charter school). He is a life member of Lion’s International. He has received Distinguished Community Leader Award from Mayor Richard Daley (2005). He is a past President of Pak-American Business Association, a past member of Board of Trustees of Council for a Parliament of World’s Religions, Chicago and a active participant in Chicago Police Department’s Community Alternative Policing Strategy (CAPS).. He enjoys traveling.
Dr. Munir Chaudry, PhD., is the Founder and President of the Islamic Food and Nutrition Council of America,(IFANCA) a world class Halal certification and consulting organization, headquartered in Chicago USA. He is also founder and chairman of Sabeel Food Pantry in Chicago which has been distributing food supplies to the needy in the west Chicago neighborhood. Dr. Chaudry’s organizational work has been versatile. He is experienced in the management of not-for-profit organizations and industrial corporations in a cross functional environment. Currently, Dr.Chaudry manages all activities and administers the Halal Certification program for The Islamic Food and Nutrition Council of America. Dr.Chaudry was the Managing Editor and contributing author for the Islamic Perspective, a technical journal. He is also contributing editor of Halal Consumer Magazine. In addition he is chairman of the Kazi Publications, Inc., a publisher and distributor of books on Islam.
Dr. Marcia Hermansen, PhD., is Professor of Theology at Loyola University Chicago. She received her PhD., from the University of Chicago in Arabic and Islamic Studies. In the course of her research and language training she lived for extended periods in Egypt, Jordan, India, Iran, and Pakistan and she conducts research in Arabic, Persian and Urdu as well as the major European languages. She is co-editor of Encyclopedia of Islam and the Muslim World (2003). Dr. Hermansen has contributed numerous academic articles in the fields of Islamic Thought, Sufism, Islam and Muslims in South Asia, Muslims in America, and Women in Islam.

Zafar Malik is Director of Publications and Associate Dean for Development and University Relations at East-West University in Chicago. He responsibilities include design, editing and publication of university literature. He also initiates and organizes many of the university’s outreach programs. His interests include illustration, painting, reading and travel. He says, “One of my abiding interests is community affairs and I am currently involved with various charities in Chicago.” Yousif Marei is Director of IACSO (Islamic Arabic Community Service Office), Director & Producer and Radio Host of the Arab Voice of Chicago Community (AVCC) radio program which airs every Saturday on WCEV 1450AM between 3-5pm. He is also editor of Noor el Yaqeen (Light of Truth) monthly.He is active in developing community youth programs and has a deep interest in nurturing Arab American relationships. His special interest is in promoting a positive image of the Muslim community through the media and in participating with local government institutions in such programs as CAPS, Mayor Daley’s various community programs and the International Visitor Program of Chicago. Dr. Azher Quader, MD., is a board certified urologist in private practice. He serves as chairman of the Community Outreach Committee. He is founder and Executive Director of the Compassionate Care Network, which is a provider network of mostly Muslim physicians formed to provide affordable health care to the uninsured in Chicago and suburbs. He is president of Quader & Associates, who publish the Chicago Muslim Yellow Pages. He serves on the Board of Albany Park Neighborhood Council (APNC), He is a founding member of Community Builders Chicago and serves as its Exec.Director.
Dr. Ejaz Rahim, M.D., DABR is Interim Chairman, Department of Radiology and Associate Professor of Clinical Radiology Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Health Sciences/ The Chicago Medical School, North Chicago. She is also a Staff Radiologist at the Jesse Brown Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Chicago. She is a graduate of Dow Medical School in Pakistan and is Board certified in Radiology. She is a member of Chicago Medical Society, Illinois State Medical Society, American Medical Association, Chicago Radiological Society, Radiological Society of North America, Islamic Medical Association of North America, Association of Pakistani Physicians of North America and Pakistani Physicians Society. Sher Muhammad Rajput is a senior agent with New York Life Insurance Company where he has worked since 1970. He has a MBA in Finance from Indiana University (Bloomington). He has a long and distinguished history of community service in Chicago. He is a past president and currently serves on the Board of Indo American Center. He is on the Boards of East West University and the Federation of Indian American Association (FIA). He has also served on the Board of the Muslim Community Center in Chicago, where he has held several committee chairmanships over the years. He is Democratic precinct captain for the 49th ward in Chicago. He was a Illinois Delegate to the Democratic National Convention in 1988. He has been honored by many community service awards for his social and political services both within and outside the Muslim community.

Abdul Javid is senior program manager/technical lead with Motorola Solutions in Schaumburg, IL. He has Masters in Computer Science (MS) ,with numerous distinguished technical, program & project management certifications including PMI-PgMP, PMI-PMP, OCP, MCSE, CCNA, ITIL etc.

His passion for community service is well known in the community and his zeal to improve the structure, and functions of non profit organizations with innovative ideas is well recognized.
